"150 thousand mileage? It's expensive for such a car," we hear regularly. We explain in numbers why this is not the case.

In Europe, people travel to work on autobahns. 100 km in one direction is a common thing, the road takes half an hour. That's 200 km a day, 1,000 a week, and about 50,000 a year just to get to the office. Plus personal trips, and in three years the same 150 thousand runs up.

Now the main thing. Let's take an hour of engine operation. The car passes 100 km on the highway during this hour. There are 20 in the city. The engine worked the same way, and the difference on the odometer is five times.

Therefore, the European 150,000 on the autobahn is less wear and tear than the Russian 60,000 in traffic jams.

High mileage is not a verdict. It is important how it is typed.

For each car, we show the full history: how much I drove, where and how. Questions and selection — @ClearTrustAuto
